In thread warning from the mods. There have been lots of reports generated from this thread for name calling. Both sides, for and against, are guilty of this. Let’s dial down the insults and discuss the team in a civil manner. We should all be able to disagree without having to resort to name calling. Let’s try to do this ourselves without having to get warning points involved. Thanks everybody. Cheers

honestly, you can spin "not an offensive player" or "stats don't tell the whole story"..... but that stat seems amazing, and not in a good way

 

unrelated, but did Jake Virtanen have an assist this year? of course, he had goals

Why in holy hell would you judge a defensive defenseman by offensive output?  That's like evaluating the IT guy based on how good a janitor he is.

Some people just think they are bringing in evidence to confirm a bias that they have on the subject matter. It's no surprise that people who have bashed this signing largely are doing so because Benning did it.

It's probably why the Danault signing has not met the same kind of criticism, even though he only for 5 goals last year, but is making 5mill+
