Best of 7, this year's Buffalo Sabres (on the verge of the longest losing streak in history) vs. last year's Detroit Red Wings (worst in GF/ GA/ PK, 3rd worst PP, 3rd worst points percentage): who ya got?

So sad that Kim's Convenience is ending

With a shot like that, NOW will Adam Gaudette get top-6 ice time??
Thanks Coach Green. -
Reportedly it's na-na, na-na-na-na, heyyy, good-bye to Amber Heard #iykyk

Anyone watching Alice in Borderland? Just finished Ep. 7... can't wait to finish the season finale

First time that the Oilers won a game in 4 years, where neither McJesus or Draisaitl recorded a point (their record was 0-26-2). Goes to show how much depth the team accumulated over there.

What's everyone's favorite pastimes to beat pandemic boredom (on days when there's no hockey)?

For people worried about Petey's slow start, take consolation in the fact that he's far from the only top-6 caliber player struggling to put up stats:
Malkin (PIT) 6 GP, 1-1-2, -4
Zibanejad (NYR) 5 GP, 1-1-2
Kadri (COL) 6 GP, 1-1-2, -8
Domi (CBJ) 6 GP, 0-2-2, -4
Saad (COL) 6 GP, 0-1-1
Dubois (WPG) 5 GP, 1-0-1
R. Strome (NYR) 5 GP, 1-0-1
M. Johansson (MIN) 6 GP, 1-0-1
Kreider (NYR) 5 GP, 1-0-1, -3
Lafreniere (NYR) 5 GP, 0-0-0
Beauvillier (NYI) 5 GP, 0-1-1, -2
DeBrusk (Bos) 5 GP, 0-1-1, -2
Dadonov (OTT) 6 GP, 1-1-2
Not to belabor the point, but even guys like Hoffman (STL), Johansen/ Duchene (NAS), Rakell/ Silfverberg (ANA), Fiala (MIN) are having slow starts. It's not optimal for anyone involved but just something that these name players will have to work to rebound from. -
Alright CDC, go-to chicken wings flavor?

Where would you rank tonight's loss in terms of all-time upsets?
(After such hot starts, I wonder if they would be near the likes of the 2007 Patriots and 2015-16 Warriors. Not necessarily that there was a defining moment like the Tyree catch or LeBron chase-down block but for such a stacked team, these losses are still surprising.)- Show previous comments 4 more

I think Canada just lacked the top-end, game-breaking talent to play from behind. They were a team full of moderately skilled guys who skate fast and work their asses off. It works wonders when they're even or playing ahead, but they lacked the high-end skill to break down a team that's happy to just collapse around the net and not let you get into the home plate area all night.

Apparently Tarasenko was "disappointed" that O'Reilly got the captaincy instead of him... https://www.bardown.com/vladimir-tarasenko-is-disappointed-that-he-wasn-t-named-the-captain-of-the-blues-1.1569633

Does anyone here drive for Skip or UberEats? Been hearing rumors that they cover for gas mileage?
- Show previous comments 1 more

Whoever says they cover gas mileage is very wrong.
You only get topped up if the person's house is quite a bit away from the restaurant you're traveling to.
If you're delivering to a place within 5km of the house/apt or drop location it's $6.50 flat for Skip. Barring from other tips.
Ubereats will cover you distance and give you a top up promotion if the district is 1. Far and 2. during busy peak hour times. But ubereats is notoriously slow on approving new drivers. (speaking from experience)
-
There is a driver scam were they take a pic of it when the drop it off then take it.
Also a private member's bill was introduced caping delivery costs at 15%

Match.com with the "Match Made in Hell" ads on YouTube... so good

Anyone know where to buy truffle oil in Vancouver? If there's any available without breaking the bank that'd be great (or recommend any suitable alternatives if available)

@smithers joe it's got a nice mushroomy flavor that was pretty nice.

Watching Petey highlights from these 2 seasons, feel like we have a poor man's Swedish Gretzky... that no-look pass, the Sedin-like bank to Boeser, that slap shot off the rush, even the mid-air batting of the puck... truly uncanny

Had a weird Canucks-related dream...
I dreamt that in the upcoming 82-game season, Holtby was going to go 6-35 despite an elite level 2.37 GAA, and Demko went 1-5. So who played the remaining 35 games you might ask? DANIEL FRICKIN' RADCLIFFE, who would go 30-5.- Show previous comments 3 more

I've had some wonky dreams, but none have matched the one I had a few years ago where I dreamt I was in a Tim Hortons (but it was bar themed) watching the Canucks and Rangers play in the Cup Finals. I was waiting in line and missing the game, then when I finally got to the front of the line the cashier threw up on me.
I also had a dream where we acquired Malkin for Ballard, Raymond, and something (can't confirm it was a first). We were eliminated in February, when Malkin finally scored his first goal of the season (he was with us for the whole year, as the deal was in the off-season).
You need to bump the dream thread in white noise

Any virtual date experts on CDC? Don't know if it's the lack of sensory stimuli in the same environment but it gets pretty dull just asking the same questions; what are your favorite activities to do on your virtual dates (if you've been having them)?

Who's down to party with a group of 6 ppl until 9:59 PM PST?
Also, it's honestly ironic when BH says don't meet up even with a safe 6, but also remember to show up in your classes of 30. Diseases don't discriminate but remember school is essential... -
