Lindholm, Backlund, Toffoli, Tanev, Zadorov, Hanifin.  They should be able to get several picks and prospects for these players while opening up $27 million in cap space.  So they can get the future assets and then pay to get some UFA's, so they can take on bad contracts to get more picks and prospects.

He's stepping away from hockey for a little bit. My feeling is that he'll take over a team midseason, one that he thinks he can turn around in a hurry. Detroit, Winnipeg aren't very good options for him. Winnipeg is over the hill and Detroit is still rebuilding.

My bet is that Sergei Federov will be named the Head Coach of the Detroit Red Wings by the draft. He seems to be the quiet favorite and has deep ties to Steve Yzerman.

I used to do that all the time.  But since i can't do that anymore, I've actually found that if I tune into the TDL coverage over the lunch hour, that's when most of the trades come in anyway.  The 8-10 am PST time slot can be really painful to watch!

The Oilers should be targeting Karel Vejmelka from Arizona. That guy has been playing lights out in net for a piss poor Coyotes team. He is also signed to a cheapo deal. If the Coyotes could grab him a 1B immediately and groom to be the netminder of the future, that would be a win for them. Probably only takes a 2nd and maybe Kyle Turris for cap reasons?

The problem with the Bruins is that they signed Ullmark to a big deal and Swayman has arguably been better. I suppose they could send swayman down if he is waiver exempt. 

As far as sports goes, it's the Boston Red Sox song and I hate the Boston Red Sox.  The last thing I need when watching a Canuck game is to be reminded of the Boston Red Sox.

My only advice would be check the Internet browser your using for any updates, and then check and see if there are any software updates for the computer, then last unplug the Internet modem for 5 mins and plug it all back in and see if it's any quicker.

There is also the possibility maybe too many devices are being run on the Internet where you are, if others are watching videos online that will slow your Internet down big time, but I don't know your situation so not sure just throwing out suggestions.

A lot of pressure on this new defensive coach imo, because people are going to want results especially after last season, it was bad. I'm also not a fan of Green and I feel he should also be on a short leash similar to how MTL did with Julien, if this team next season is sill playing the majority of the game in their own zone and being out shot in more games, then something has to change and a new coach needs be broght in, tired of watching this team rely so heavily on the goaltender to win them games.

If we struggle then Shaw will be promoted to head coach.

The defensive coach better find successful partners for each of our puck-movers.  Poolman and Myers definitely aren't the most awe-inspiring but I wonder if we'd have our best chance with Hamonic next to OEL to take the tough minutes (think Travis was the best RD we had), and Rathbone with Myers (they looked like they did pretty decent), and hopefully Poolman gels with Hughes.

Don't listen to your brain...in this case, your brain is being an @$$hole. Enjoy your music...get some rest...drink lots of water...and always remember - no matter what your brain is telling you, things are waaaaaaay better.

All this griping about being over the cap. Unless the NHL decides that the cap applies in the post-season, then you're just griping. What I find is interesting is how few in the media are pointing this out. 

In the end, I don't agree with it. But at the same time, there's no rules against it. And teams make gravy out of the playoffs, as players salaries end when the regular season ends. 

Complain to Bettman, griping on here isn't going to do anything. Unless it helps you vent. 

Bettman is just doing what the league governors want him to do.
