Nave
I don't mind if you don't want to wear masks as long as you avoid public spaces. but holding a rally flouting your ignorance is just counter-productive.

Popular Post JM_
Its really unfortunate what social media has done to common sense. For too many people everything is an us-them, my narrative-your narrative, everything is political fight. Our best available health advice isn't us-them, its the best knowledge we have to date. Its hard to believe that some of us have been conditioned to doubt it, when its evidence-based reasoning that we can all look up and understand. And yes, for once-in-a-century health crisis, some things should be mandated, like wearing a mask. Its literally the least you can do.

Popular Post D-Money
I’m pro seatbelts. The science is overwhelming - - they help save lives. If you’re in the front seat and choose not to wear a seatbelt, that’s your choice. If something happens to you, it’s on you, and it will likely only affect you. But if you’re in the back seat and not wearing your seatbelt, with someone in front of you, then you’re a selfish jerk. Because you’re more likely to injure/kill someone else because of your perceived choice. Multiply that last part by however many people you might infect with the tiny spit particles constantly flying out of your nose and mouth as you breathe and talk (let alone cough or sneeze), from the disease you may already have but display no symptoms of... Masks prevent a lot of that - the science is overwhelming. So if you’re anti-mask, you’re anti-science, anti-caring, anti-social-responsibility, and anti-decency.
ChuckNORRIS4Cup
Definitely pro mask in any closed space. In open space like walking down the street I believe it should be your choice, and it's up to you to keep your distance from people, but if you're going to be in a space where you can't social distance yourself from others then you should be wearing a mask.
Popular Post Dixon Ward
Anybody who thinks every health official in the world is in on a conspiracy together is an idiot. Anybody who refuses to do something minor to prevent others in their community, workplace, family from getting sick and potentially dying is an selfish idiot and doesn't deserve the freedoms our forefathers fought for. 2 3

I come from a generation where most adults smoked. Science proved the harm and now the practice is dying, so to speak. We have never seen something like Covid, not in my life time anyway. When I was a kid many of us feared the inoculation needle at school but no one was protesting the science behind having the shot. Mind you back then most people didn't question authority. I suspect masks will become part of our life for some time into the future.

ChuckNORRIS4Cup
Just wait until people start getting the Vaccine, then there will be more people not wearing masks and more arguments and fights on wearing and not wearing a mask. It's just going to get worse, unless the government gives you something to maybe wear or a card stating you have been vaccinated, but if the government doesn't it could get ugly next year, because anti maskers will try and use this as well even if they haven't been vaccinated. Down by the River
What do people define as "mandatory" versus "voluntary"? Does requiring someone to wear a mask while moving throughout a coffee shop constitute a mandatory order? To me, it doesn't, because a person is under no obligation/requirement to enter that place in the beginning, and so they are voluntary to enter that place and in doing to agree to the rules stipulated.

Exactly - but don't call them anti science/etc One of the ladies in our Poultry club has a breathing disorder and can't wear a mask - but a shield works for her.

BoKnows
Wearing a mask isn't bad. It's actually nice in the cold weather. The only time I had trouble breathing with a mask on was when I was deadlifting. There are no excuses why an able-bodied individual shouldn't wear a mask.
