Looking at his mug I was fairly certain that he hails from my neck of the woods.

Upon seeing his last name, I sure was right, what a knucklehead!

A whole lot of dirty pool going on in Florida, thanks Darth DeSantis.  Some of the worst Covid data reporting in the US.  But, both parties right?

https://www.tampabay.com/news/health/2021/10/17/for-105-days-covids-death-toll-in-florida-counties-went-missing/

For 105 days, COVID’s death toll in Florida counties went missing

The state and federal government could have shared the death toll in each county with the public, but didn’t.

This is why you shouldn't just go get infected on purpose or let your guard down even after being fully vaccinated. No one in the hospital is taking their masks off while taking care of covid patients.  Even if you are in the low risk group, it may contribute to some spread, and so it isn't the right thing to do.

You need an intact immune system for vaccines to work. Vaccines are not like medications that you take.

You don't know if you have the right stuff or responded well to the vaccine.

You don't know if the vaccine was not expired, tampered with, or messed up by the pharmacist by accident..

The older you are, the more comorbidities you have, the worse the outcome even after vaccination.

Short 6 tweet thread explaining this, click on it to read more:

Here are recent CDC data.

Risk of dying from covid when divided by vaccination status and age:

Risk of infection (can be asymptomatic or symptomatic):

Bottom line, vaccines work very well but not perfect across all age groups.

Goal is to achieving a highly vaccinated population (80%+) and drive the case # down through public health measures before achieving it (masks,  ventilation, test/trace, distancing).  Then once population immunity is high (90% including recovered), the cases will stay low.  That will endemic, not herd immunity per se.  With the antiviral pills and monoclonal antibodies and other upcoming treatment, we will see covid become a manageable disease that will no longer cause the society to shut down.

Would like to add that especially for older people it is important to get a third dose to increase the protection. Read that in Israel older people have already received their third dose. Couple weeks ago German health institute recommended a third dose for older people. To sum it up : everyone should take COVID seriously and protect themselves as good as possible. Numbers currently pile up again mainly because of the cold weather conditions.

If there ever was someone who deserves his Herman Cain Award, it's this guy.   And he says that he did this on purpose.

Conservative anti-vaxx commentator Dennis Prager reveals he has COVID, claims he got it on purpose for 'natural immunity', and says he's been treating it with drugs including Regeneron, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin

  • Conservative pundit Dennis Prager said had COVID-19 and had contracted it on purpose by socializing and getting close to strangers
  • Prager said that although his plan sounds 'bizarre' he did it in order to achieve 'natural immunity and be taken care of by therapeutics'
  • Prager said he continues to take a variety of other remedies including Regeneron, zinc, azithromycin, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin
  • The Food & Drug Administration reports that neither hydroxychloroquine nor ivermectin is an effective treatment for COVID
  • Although Prager appears convinced 'natural immunity' from the virus is better, the National Institutes of Health, say vaccines confer greater protection

Never heard of this guy, but clearly he’s an IDIOT.  Next week we will be reading he’s in hospital on a ventilator.
