It seems like everyone is complaining about grocery stores having certain items out of stock... I've had friends tell me they are shook the store was out of chicken, or bananas and that has ruined their day...

For real?! I'm not even going to address the paper product shortage because it's silly. 

Over 29,000 people die every day from hunger... Every time I have gone to get groceries during this break, I've still had an incredible abundance of food to chose from. 

If you show gratitude as much as you can, these times will be more enjoyable.

A week ago if you asked me when I think our team could contend for a Stanley Cup, I'd tell you... realistically early 2020's.

After watching the group play during camp, I'm convinced that this team can compete THIS year. I don't think I'm being overly optimistic here.

Could we see a story book ending in which the Sedins join the team before the playoffs and win a cup? I think it's possible. Not guaranteeing it but we definitely can watch some competitive hockey this coming year and hopefully a true dynasty in the 2020's

Anyone know of any good rinks with drop in hockey in the Vancouver area? and preferably not crazy late like 11:45PM  (I know there's one of those @ Britannia Rink)

Does anyone know how far up north I'd have to drive to find some frozen lakes?

I hope I can still stay in BC... really don't want to trek to the Yukon lol...

Does anyone know what stick curve and/or flex pavel bure used?

I've looked a little online on his used sticks and could only notice that he used a square toe... the curve im not to certain

Game 7... I'm cheering for the Jets but I really don't like their chances going up against BIG GAME BONINO tonight. Except the GWG to be by Big Game or set up by him.

That's what happens when you breath in the elite air the Sedins were breathing for that 1 year... you learn from their greatness and become great.

Hope we use a late pick and draft Tag Bertuzzi this year. 

Also if any way possible, attempt to trade for Tyler Bertuzzi... Something like Sven or Pearson + 2020 2nd rounder? 

I know this is wishful thinking but I don't think it's too outlandish to think that the Holm / Leipisic trade will be regretted by McPhee as much as he regretted the Erat / Forsberg trade.

Really looking forward to seeing him play the rest of the year.

I think acquiring players in their early 20s is just as good as draft picks. Kudos to Mr Jim Freakin Benning. He's %100 got my support... which wasn't the case all 2017.

Bring home a cup and you can go down as the greatest GM in franchise history. For the time though, I think that title belongs to Mike Gillis.

Actually come to think of it... I wouldn't mind being a Jets fan right now. I absolutely hate big buff but there's so many other guys on that team I like. Paul Maurice is a super likable character too. The old boys club is just as against the Jets as they are to us. Jets will need to pull some magic but they can win the cup. Love that they're a Canadian team.

I think Brendan Leipsic is gonna have a remarkable year this coming season. Forty or more points shouldn't be out of the question assuming he stays relatively healthy.

I think I'm getting slightly ahead of myself... but is it possible we rename Griffiths Way to Boeser's Way if Brock retires as a Canuck? 

Man... I love me some Brock. I really hope he's a Canuck for life. Something tells me the Old Boys Club will meddle though before we re-sign him and make sure he ends up on a US team. I wouldn't mind a Lindros type of deal though... which Colorado ultimately benefited from.

I was learning how to play hockey / skate for the past 18 months or so... all my day dreams had me making the NHL in 3 years and winning the cup with the Sedins at their age of 40... with me being the missing piece on their line. Not to mention the unorthodox path I took to the NHL by starting to learn at 26 and making it by 30.

So much for that...not to mention its tough to train with a full time job

Still gonna keep playing though. When I have children, I'll definitely let them have the option of learning to play hockey at the age of 2. I'd be so proud if my son brought the first cup to Vancouver. Although I rather it happens sooner. Like next year.

I wasn't always a JB supporter but he's made me have hope. I think as it stands, he's poised to be the only GM to build an NHL dynasty in the 2020's

Predicting the reign of terror that Canucks have on the NHL will begin around 2021-2029 ... Similar to the utter dominance of the 2009-2013 Canucks (Who were the most winning team in hockey if you add all the wins over that period) **I think. lol

I've never felt more confident in our teams chances come Sept 1st than I do this year.

We've got Petey at a 12 million dollar discount for the next two seasons. 

We've got Bo on arguably one of the best non-ELC contracts in the league  ... our goalies only cost 4.6 million and will be one of the best tandems in the league.

Brock will soon be signed at a reasonable dollar... Edler already took a huge discount...

If Erik Karlsson signs with Tampa in the summer, Stamkos and Hedman should be suspended a year for tampering. 

I think there's a 20% chance Petey and Edler convince him to sign with us. God I'll hate Tampa so much if we lose out on him. I say offer him a 2 year 10-15mill AAV (while Petey is on ELC)... Win 1 or 2 cups. Go up to 15 if its what it takes. It's just 2 years. Hopefully he does 10 to help us win.

Is it just me or is Brock Boeser the 2nd best player to come out of the 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 drafts combined? Second to McDavid

Heck you can even go back to 2013, Mackinonn wasn't even half the player Brock is at 20 years old.

Kes & Juice podcast episode 6... boy was Kes a warrior. Game 1 vs Dallas that went into 4OT, was his FIRST game back from hip surgery...

The doctors told him to limit himself to 10 minutes and he ended up playing over 40... sadly he broke his had blocking a shot in OT as he always did for a decade for us.

he was in surgery until 5am that night and missed the rest of the playoffs.

Ryan was an absolute warrior for us and those that don't respect him need to give their heads a shake.

The trade was ages ago, we WON the trade... whats the hate for now!?

If someone says that silly gossip that he did stuff with Cory's wife I'm also gonna lose it because there's ZERO truth to that.

I was there to boo my lungs out when he played against us, but enough is enough. He got his hate, he deserved a good amount of it, but this guy was a true Canuck.
