Who’s one prospect you’re really disappointed he never panned out? For me it’s Hunter Shinkaruk. Dude had sweet hands and was overall really good when he was drafted.
-
I just love how there’s absolutely zero media mention about what Rielly said but when there was a rumour about something Burrows said they made him out to be the worst person in NHL history.

@Beluga Whale
i find it weird that daniel Carcillo, has never heard of it though.
-
Apparently a Gudbranson trade might be imminent?
-
Oh my god Biz just ended Carcillo

Now, factoring evidence and common sense like Lil B and Cerridwen have deduced we can capably put this on the back burner as a possible load of BS.
Fair enough.
That being said, nobody has the right to sit and defame people making such allegations until such time as they're proven otherwise. Far to many suffer without ever speaking up about being assaulted or abused. It's disgusting. The only thing more disgusting is the attitudes as we saw here

There is a 2 hour time difference between Chicago and LA. I'm having a bit of a problem discerning if those times quoted in the tweet are Chicago time or LA time. No matter the time zone, it still doesn't adequately explain how Patrick Kane would be in a bar bathroom at closing time when he would have been on a plane.
-
More info regarding the flight. The departure was in PST time and the game officially ended on 9:32 PM PST. Unless if Kane left his teammates behind (Not possible without any sort of punishment from the team.), there would've been no time for him to go to a bar what so ever.

Honestly. If Tavares would come to Vancouver for 7 years at $12 million a year I think you have to do that. He’s a bonafide, superstar #1 center which you can get for nothing but money. How often do those opportunities come around?

@ReggieBush An insta hoe? That's the best you got? C'mon man...

If we get Hughes, would anyone package Horvat for Karlsson? Would have to be a sign and trade.

Linden said they'll be bringing pending UFAs to Vancouver next week before the 1st.

Any UFA can be approached and spoken to, negotiated with etc. From June 25th to July 1st, teams can approach UFAs. It's called the "negotiation period". The only thing they cannot do is put pen to paper on a SPC (standard player contract).
Other than that, everything is fair game. Benning only got his hands slapped a little because he jumped the gun by about 8 hours. -
@shadowgoon Ooops, you are correct. Forgot about that.
-
Can someone please explain to me why Benning gets all the heat but Green gets a free pass despite having a record similar to Willie Desjardins while he was here?

And here comes the Canucks twitter meltdown

How huge is it that Rafferty and Rathbone have developed into legitimate prospects?

If he has a good camp I think there's a good chance, I think he's a guy management would love to insert just to see what he can do. I don't even think he'd have to blow people away to make it. As a LD he'd be competing with Benn, Fanta, and possibly Tram, and they'd likely be willing to waive Fanta (assuming he's re-signed). I think they'll let Stech walk too for cap reasons.
With Edler likely a few years off from retirement they're gonna need to see what they have in some of their in house guys.
-
He's shown well in the AHL, and many young D struggle, but if he shows promise I could see them letting him play through those struggles to an extent. If he makes it he'll likely be more sheltered as a 5-7 guy anyway. He's not gonna step in and take minutes from Edler, Hughes, Tanev (?), and Myers unless injuries occur.

Saw a proposal on Twitter via CapFriendly which involved us trading Boeser to Nashville for Arvidsson and a 2nd. I love Arvidsson but I don’t wanna trade Boeser so I really don’t know where I’d lean on this one.
-
Through three seasons:
Willie Desjardins: 109-110-27 (.443)
Travis Green: 102-103-28 (.437)
Even overall, Green has a worse record/win percentage than WD despite having much better overall rosters. He is holding this team back.

@Heretic- I might be able to buy your explanation. Are you suggesting that perhaps Green doesn’t have an issue with Podkolzin, but rather, simply wants Podkolzin to observe a few things from the press box? I could possibly buy this strategy but is this a common practice with rookies?
-
I've thought about it before, but if Burr gets suspended for a clean hit who would want me to make an evidence video proving the NHL has a bias/grudge/double-standard/vendetta against us?

Plus, McGrattan went in (arms down)with his shoulder on Alberts, but raised his hands after(which made it dirty). Burrows came in with his hands up ready to hit McDonagh with his arms.
If you pause a second before the Big Ern hit it will look like he was going for a clean shoulder to shoulder hit, Burrows on the other hand looks like he's going straight at McDonagh with his arms up a second before the hit.

@Tortorella's Rant That’s how I work too. Unless it’s a friend or work/school calling I don’t answer.

This is what I was scared of 4 years ago. The greatest Canuck ever being run out of town.

Quinn was fired mid season by Steven Bellringer, in a pre-emptive strike to make sure Quinn didn't fire the coach and take over coaching duties to try and turn things around.
Quinn was run out of the organization by the MacCaw ownership.
Quinn never returned to the Canucks until he was selected in the Ring of Honour in 2014.

Looks like Boston would probably like to get rid of Krejci or Backes to free up a little cap space. Would anyone go after Krejci if the price was reasonable?

Eriksson wore a rock salt necklace and dusted all his equipment with baking soda.
Both neutralize the douche juice
-
Might have robbed him of his mojo.
Or maybe the fact that the first goal he scored as a Canuck was an empty netter, ON HIS OWN GOAL! FFS that was awful
In my expert opinion he's got some bad juju, not doucheitis. Doucheitis affects an inviduals ability to not act like a total a**hole.
They blame others for their mistakes and are unable to accept personal responsibility for their selfish, cowardly and narcissistic actions.
Eriksson has bad Canuck juju. They should send him to a sweatlodge. Then first thing in the morning beat him up a bit with cold cedar bows before sending him for a swim in the ocean.
Almost guaranteed to change his luck.

@Pears those people are annoying but there are also people that are annoying from the other side. Facebook is the worst place for... well pretty much anything. Solution is to stay away from Facebook

@VancouverHabitant Oh don’t get me wrong I know, they just aren’t as vocal.
-
No @VancouverHabitant. I’m absolutely not saying that. I’m saying that the short term complications as a result of getting the virus itself are far more frequent and far more severe than from the vaccine. The complications absolutely do exist - I know someone in my age group (low 20s) who had heart attack like symptoms post vax.

Who cares about a friggin’ straw. That poor Subway bear (that could open doors, which is kind of cool) got murdered for being too smart. We are friggin’ murdering animals, but we worry about plastic straws destroying the planet? Our PC society needs to get their collective heads screwed on straight.
You know what? We (people) are #$&*&$*$.
-
Would Virtanen for Puljujarvi be a fair deal? Both high picks who could use a change of scenery.
-
As of right now we’ll have $35 million in cap space in the summer. If we move Sutter, Gudbranson, Eriksson, Gagner, and Schaller that will bump us up to over $50 million, which would give us plenty of room to maybe sign a star or two. If Benning can do it Aquilini should give him the green light imo.

@canuktravella- It will be interesting to see if Petey has a sophomore slump like Boeser has (although his points may not look it) as it could help to keep him around 10 when we sign him.

@Nuxfanabroad you mean a Motte point?

I never thought I would, but I’m really starting to warm up to Tkachuk at 6. He can most likely come in and play next year and he and Pettersson on the same line would be a treat to watch.

If we'd taken M. Tkachuk over Juolevi in 2016, how would our organization be right now? We'd have more goals, and more grit (and more suspensions) but our D pipeline in likely top 4 D would be empty.
Our 2011 team almost won the cup without a true number 1 D but 4 bonafide top 4 D (Erhroff, Edler, Hamhuis, Bieksa). Even if Juolevi never projects to be a number 1 or 2, having top 4 D is important.
We have potential top 6 wingers coming in Dahlen, Lind, and Gadjovich, in addition to Boeser, Baertschi, and free agency.
I'd rather have Juolevi in the pipeline than M. Tkachuk on the roster.
(I'd rather have Sergachev or McAvoy instead of Juolevi but that's hindsight and a different matter entirely)
-
I don't think bear cheese will be on this team in the long run. Gadj is prob a 3rd liner. Lind is meh but we'll see. Dahlen hopefully is top 6; im excited for him.
Boeser is the flow.

What would Rick Nash cost?
