Don't underestimate Reimer either, he's still a solid goalie. But they definitely need Lou to play 30-50 games next season, or they miss the playoffs.

Bjugstad had a rebound season (49 points in 82 games) on their 2nd line, and don't sleep on McCann either.  He put up 0.41 points/ game and could be on pace for a rebound season.

Hubie - Barkov - Dadonov and Hoffman - Trocheck - Bjugstad will be solid.

He can't become a UFA until he completes college.  It looks like he's 2 years in so he could become a UFA in August of 2020.

Stone is mega underrated IMO, because I think he's got a stellar two-way game on top of his scoring. As someone who's always been a fan, I'd probably down for it, but I'd be hesitant to give him the big 7-year deal he'll want. I'd maybe do a 5-year deal for $8M or so if he can maintain his current level of play. It might be slightly overpaying (maybe, he might actually be worth that IMO), but you always need to overpay in the FA market.

Yea and he’s pretty big too at 6’4” 220lbs. Would be a perfect fit with Pettersson.

In some ways, it probably depends on what kind of computer you use.  I switched to Mac in the 00s and back then, it was infinitely better than Windows.  OSX Leopard was a fraction of the size of WinXP, more stable and genuine "plug and play" as opposed to "plug and pray"; Mac processors at the time (Motorola G4/G5 series) were also way ahead of Intel back then.  I still have a functioning 2004 Mac G5 tower that I use as a backup server and "jukebox" for my stereo (sure, I could use my laptop to do the same thing, but I like giving the old computer something to do).

I still use Macs, but I'm not nearly as enamoured of it as I used to be.  Today's OSX has become just as bad as "bloatware" as Windows is.  So for me, I kinda look back on the 00s as a "golden age"; at least as far as Mac users are concerned.

We've got the best technology available ever (as far as we know?), but I'd kinda like to be in an era where my movements can't be tracked just about anywhere I go.

I don't think it 'opens the door'.  I think his making the team or not making the team was never really dependent on Hughes.  

I fully expect OJ to start in Utica.  He won't be in shape in time for training camp, and I don't feel a few months in Utica will hurt him at all.

I'm gunna say Juolevi at least starts the season in Utica. 

Please say that's why he's stepping down, to run for Mayor.

Trev always takes the high road, and this doesn't preclude him returning in the future either. Didn't his mentor Pat Quinn do the same thing?

Quinn was fired mid season by Steven Bellringer, in a pre-emptive strike to make sure Quinn didn't fire the coach and take over coaching duties to try and turn things around. 

Quinn was run out of the organization by the MacCaw ownership. 

Quinn never returned to the Canucks until he was selected in the Ring of Honour in 2014.
