      never heard of them before

      who are they??

  3. Interesting how Höglander’s goal was nowhere to be found on TSN but a few days ago they were spamming us with Nick Robertson practice highlights

Interesting you bring them both up at the same time because they have very similar skill-sets and intangibles. Obviously I'm more of a Hoglander guy myself. ;)

    3. Where's Wellwood

      Where's Wellwood

They showed Hoglander's goal as part of that game's highlights. What pissed me off is that when TSN showed it, they neglected to mention that Hoglander is a Canucks prospect, but made sure to mention that Rasmus Sandin is a Maple Leafs prospect

@Where's Wellwood That’s the thing, when you know full well if Höglander was a Leafs prospect it would be plastered all over their front page.

  4.  Merry Christmas everyone! I have a really good feeling about next year and I can’t wait to see it with you all.

Hall is a loser.  The Coyotes will now crash, burn, and miss the playoffs.

  7. Jackets with some pretty good twittering here

  8. If we can keep this momentum going with Ferland and Roussel coming back, look out.

  9. People are really still crying about our lack of cap space and how Benning screwed us a couple years from now even though it’s been proven otherwise multiple times :picard: :picard:

I'm crying over the fact we still don't have Raising Cane's in Canada, it's the only real thing I miss from visiting the southern US.

Our cap situation has never looked better. At the right time the right people come off the books for us to become competitive for the cup. Not to mention we will have guys like Hoglander and Podkolzin on 1st/2nd years of there ELC.  His signings may not have been the greatest at times but Not all were bad.

    4. Nuxfanabroad

      Nuxfanabroad

I'd really like it if they could move a fwd out, to make this season straightforward: Schaller, Sutter, Baer or Rouss..preference about this order. Two fwds moved would be even better.

It's time to take roster chances with more younger inserts. Nice that AG looks great.

    1. DADDYROCK

      DADDYROCK

This is why I only watch the Oilers play the Canucks because of the HOMIES announcing those Oiler games are terrible,it's all McDavid & Draisaitl it is just sickening. As bad as Marner, Mathews with the Leafs, these guys haven't won anything and they hype them way too much.

  12. So I’m not saying anything, but...

    2010-11 first 12 games:

    7-3-2, 34GF, 28GA

    2019-20 first 12 games:

    8-3-1, 47GF, 30GA

    1. Mike Vanderhoek

      Mike Vanderhoek

I loved the peak of the Twins era in Vancouver, as much as the West Coast Express and the days of Bure with Linden, McLean, didn't quite get here in time for King Richard's reign but these were all great times. In the past, years ago.

I really like the make up of this team now, excited to see Hughes further develop as he is the type of defenseman this organization has not yet seen here.

I think there will be bumps in the road still, some rough patches and the smiles of today will shift to anger and pitchforks and back and forth still...but the team is on the rise and may be able to challenge for contendership in the nearer future. Fun times.

  13. So uhhh, anyone watch TFIL???

  14. So far we’re 2-2 when I watch games at home/go to Vancouver and 4-1-1 when I work during games

I've noticed we're 7-2 when I stand like a flamingo(in front of pc) with my right eyebrow raised(dating back to Feb 7, 2014)..still tweaking the winnin formula

Not bad for a free agent signing. He was a 4th rounder from Edmonton that wasn't signed so he became a FA.

    3. Quantum

      Quantum

Yeah, it kind of blows my mind that Edmonton didn't sign him. They drafted him after all. But he's been a bit of a revelation in Chicago. And I agree, he had one of the quietest 60 point seasons in recent memory. If he was in a Canadian market, he'd be the talk of the town he was in.

  16. A healthy scratch too. Interesting.

  17. That. Was. Awesome.

  18. It is October 8th, 2019 and James Neal leads the NHL in goals

    1. Vinny in Vancouver

      Vinny in Vancouver

Out of the 3-headed monster contracts out West, I felt that Neal had the greatest chance of breaking the curse. Neal has 4 goals today. Here's hoping Loui gets us 4 pucks in a trade.

    2. Trebreh

      Trebreh

I love it, Treleving thought he was smarter than everyone else trading Neal for Lucic so it's great to see this trade blow up in his face and Lames fans lol

    3. 6string

      6string

And in April 2020, Neal will have 17 goals and on the second unit PP.

The author Kevin Allen has been honoured by the Hockey Hall of Fame for his excellence in hockey journalism.

He looks at how the teams around them have improved also. NYR added Panarin and Kakko.  NJD Subban and Hughes and Hall is healthy.  Their younger players like Hischier are also improving. That's going to have an effect on NYI who are direct rivals - it's harder for NYI to win against them this season compared to last season.

    3. -AJ-

They've got a few that are pretty far off, but most of them are decent.

Edmonton with that "upgraded" goaltending, the Euro pipedreams, and recycled UFA/PTO crew manning the bottom half of the roster... gold.

  21. Would Virtanen for Puljujarvi be a fair deal? Both high picks who could use a change of scenery.

  22. Over/under powerplay points Miller gets with EP40 and BB6? I’ll put it at 25

    1. BrockBoester

      BrockBoester

      Under - for two reasons

The first being that he may not be a lock for the top power play in every game, TG might put big Ferkland on the PP1 to screen the tender and create havoc in and around the crease.

The second being that I see Miller anywhere between 50-60 points on the season and I think that more than half of them are going to come at 5 on 5 so that would qualify for the under. I'd say somewhere in the 18-24 range
