The hottest team in the National Hockey League, your Vancouver Canucks

Interesting how Höglander’s goal was nowhere to be found on TSN but a few days ago they were spamming us with Nick Robertson practice highlights

@Where's Wellwood That’s the thing, when you know full well if Höglander was a Leafs prospect it would be plastered all over their front page.

Merry Christmas everyone! I have a really good feeling about next year and I can’t wait to see it with you all.

NHL: Keeping our players safe is our top priority
Also the NHL: Hires a former goon to make decisions on suspensions

Just for fun what would Hall do with Pettersson and Boeser?
-
If we can keep this momentum going with Ferland and Roussel coming back, look out.

People are really still crying about our lack of cap space and how Benning screwed us a couple years from now even though it’s been proven otherwise multiple times

Our cap situation has never looked better. At the right time the right people come off the books for us to become competitive for the cup. Not to mention we will have guys like Hoglander and Podkolzin on 1st/2nd years of there ELC. His signings may not have been the greatest at times but Not all were bad.

I loved the peak of the Twins era in Vancouver, as much as the West Coast Express and the days of Bure with Linden, McLean, didn't quite get here in time for King Richard's reign but these were all great times. In the past, years ago.
I really like the make up of this team now, excited to see Hughes further develop as he is the type of defenseman this organization has not yet seen here.
I think there will be bumps in the road still, some rough patches and the smiles of today will shift to anger and pitchforks and back and forth still...but the team is on the rise and may be able to challenge for contendership in the nearer future. Fun times.

So far we’re 2-2 when I watch games at home/go to Vancouver and 4-1-1 when I work during games

Did Erik Gustafsson have one of the quietest 60 point seasons ever last year?

It is October 8th, 2019 and James Neal leads the NHL in goals

Good to see Mike Smith hasn’t changed at all

The author Kevin Allen has been honoured by the Hockey Hall of Fame for his excellence in hockey journalism.
He looks at how the teams around them have improved also. NYR added Panarin and Kakko. NJD Subban and Hughes and Hall is healthy. Their younger players like Hischier are also improving. That's going to have an effect on NYI who are direct rivals - it's harder for NYI to win against them this season compared to last season.

Would Virtanen for Puljujarvi be a fair deal? Both high picks who could use a change of scenery.

Over/under powerplay points Miller gets with EP40 and BB6? I’ll put it at 25
-
Under - for two reasons
The first being that he may not be a lock for the top power play in every game, TG might put big Ferkland on the PP1 to screen the tender and create havoc in and around the crease.
The second being that I see Miller anywhere between 50-60 points on the season and I think that more than half of them are going to come at 5 on 5 so that would qualify for the under. I'd say somewhere in the 18-24 range
