Does Bo take all the D zone left hand draws? This trade is very likely to cost us Lind. is this guy worth Lind and a third? I'd rather lose Lind than Gadjovich. Dickinson brings a lot of the same elements as Lind and is already an NHL player.

We will lose someone anyway, this at least makes us better in an area we need. We can work on FO but not every player is perfect and expecting very trade and every player to be perfect is a recipe for disappointment

This trade is fantastic and Dickinson will be a great 3c option with the ability to move up the lineup when needed. People saying this is a bad trade or "Is this all Benning can do?" need to stop talking and go learn about the player before coming here to comment. The people who are criticizing the trade have never even watched Dickinson play. Monday morning couch potatoes who think they know better than anyone else. 7 1

He is a lot cheaper than Sutter, so we do save on the cap.

Nate Schmidt traded for a 3rd round pick. Miller for a 1st round pick. Jimbob is doing well so far. Baertschi for a 2nd(Rasmus Anderson) Overall though yes I agree. We should consider ourselves lucky that we won’t have better talent exposed. We just got a big defense first center for fairly cheap. Too much value is being placed on a 3rd rounder.

Petey40
Benning couldn’t even trade a 3rd round pick for Jason Robertson… trash GM! /s. That’s what people in this thread sound like lol

Holtby is a dynamite trade chip at tje deadline. Holtby plus retaining gets a 2nd easy. We don't need to make a deal. That would be dumb. If they don't take Holtby, we can just trade him ourselves. It's already been reported that there is legit interest from several teams for Holtby.

We gave up a 3rd for a proven middle six forward that is exactly what we needed. Everyone should love this trade as he fills one of our biggest needs. 2 3
Popular Post ilduce39
4 minutes ago, SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME said: Just to add to my earlier post, where I called Dickinson a “defensive forward,” I’d actually say he has the potential to be a solid middle-six two-way player. Last season, his offensive stats were pretty soft (especially on the analytics side), but the previous two years, he provided over 4 GAR (goals above replacement) of even strength offence per season. If he can get back to that type of offensive value, plus maintaining his defence, he would be close to a 2 WAR player (+2 wins above replacement per season), which is excellent. He’s also been productive at lower levels, so I wouldn’t write him off offensively, especially if he’s given opportunities. That said, he obvious value is on the defensive side (at evens) and the PK. If Sid likes it, I’m sold. plus FWIW Drance and the Athletic boys have been suspiciously nice to management lately - they appreciated the leg work JB was doing to make this deal happen and they’re positive about the pickup. If Dickinson can indeed lock down that 3C spot this is a solid win.

Popular Post WHL rocks
This team doesn't just need top 6 F and improve D. There is a pressing need to improve the bottom 6. This team needs to be deeper and needs a lot of help at bottom 6. Good job on adding a bottom 6 piece. Need a lot more improvement up and down the lineup to make playoffs next season. But this is a good start. 4 1
