My username is a combination of my first name and old nickname from my 

playing and coaching days (various sports). Dogs and cats are both good pets,

but cats are less work.

@Baer. Or maybe well adjusted folks get over something that was commonplace nearly a decade ago? Neither the Canucks nor the Blackhawks resemble much of what they were during that period of time. Hawks still have a handful of the same guys, but they are far from the same team.

No. I'm still 100% bitter about 2011. Not THAT we lost, but HOW we lost. I'm cheering for Montreal but the sting of 2011 will haunt me forever.

That would be one good thing to come out of this season but until we win ourselves, that pain won’t be gone. It’s eased a little sure but it’s still there. 

Not Burrows in particular, but rather if the underdog Islanders or Canadiens could pull off upsets that'd be something exciting (it'd wreck my hockey pool for sure, but what the hey, I like a good underdog story OR an exciting final e.g. Vegas/ TB).

Fair enough. I'm pretty sure their burger patties are pre-cooked and then heated up again to be served, but I could be wrong. I stick to the Southwest Chorizo hash if it's earlier in the day or the candied salmon spinach salad if it's later. I've never gone wrong.

Having been to Rogers Arena several times over the last three years, the seats really are old and in need of replacing.

This is great news. The current seats aren't awful, but they aren't the best.

Aquilini and Co continue to spare no expense when it comes to operations. Looking forward to sitting in new, better seating.

Canucks fans make me puke.  Bunch of keyboard warriors who think they know more than guys who spend every waking moment analyzing these players.

NCAA players are not allowed to participate once school has already started.  They are also not allowed to play in games where another team is involved.

Raccoons are everywhere in my neighborhood.  Got to the point, you even see them during the day.

Never heard of them until recently. 

Yeah my kidneys failed. I’m working on getting a transplant. Just got to shed a few more lbs. So I have a much better chance of surviving. I have it better than most. I knew so many good people with the same illness pass away, including a former VPD officer. Imagine being a 7 foot tall cop serving your community, losing your legs to flesh eating disease, failing kidneys and then heart failure. All the while the man was still upbeat and positive and running a charity with his loving wife. A brave man and an incredibly strong woman. I don’t mean to go on a rant, but I admired him very much and it’s tragic. He was too good for this world I suppose.

That's tragic. It sounds like he was a core of the community and a true hero.

He truly was.
