  1. [Proposal] Nate Schmidt to Vancouver Canucks

Lindholm would be interesting, I expect Edmonton finds a way to retain Larsson though. But who knows?

Don't like the idea of Dumba, I don't think he'd be worth what it'd cost.

    3. Patel Bure

      Patel Bure

If the Canucks offer Larsson what Edmonton offers, then yes, no chance in hell we pry Larsson away.  If the Canucks offer 5.5-6 million however, then I don’t think the Oilers would match.  People might be upset if we overpay on Larsson but we REALLY need an Edler replacement badly.  Hughes and Schmidt are our only top pairing caliber dmen but neither guy can ‘shut down.’  At this stage of his career, Edler isn’t a top pairing option any longer.

    4. Coconuts

      Coconuts

I love Edler, but no, he's not. That seems like quite an overpayment for him though, not too keen on that. Especially in a Covid cap world.

Hopefully we can just pluck a D from a team who doesn't wanna lose him for nothing.

Oh no, opening some of us cap space would absolutely be an asset. I've never believed he lined up with our timeline. That's cap that could be reallocated to our defense, or somewhere else on the roster.

We've seen moreso over the last couple seasons than ever that cap space in itself is an asset.

    3. Coconuts

      Coconuts

But no, I'm not looking to dump him for a 5th.

I've been trying to figure out our cap situation next year if we keep JT, Boeser, Garland, Myers, etc...

I have us at 80 million even with everyone back next year, and a 24 man roster that includes Poolman on LTIR.  That leaves us with 3.5 million in cap space.

@Phil_314 It's a longg, unlikely tale(^ up above was the Coles Notes). Guess I'm an introvert who's had trouble fitting into any organized society. There's been lonely times, & I don't recommend such a path.

Somehow I tracked down a beautiful lass here, & hitched up(almost 30 yrs now). We run our own school. I'm prob happiest on long, 200-300 km bike rides. Ironman races taught me miserable-hard training are the most beautiful experiences to look back upon. Lacking requisite energy now..but always yearning to get back to it again...

I've been called a F***-up by many loved ones. Sadly, I walked completely away from all of them. If I returned to Canada today, would just feel like some lost imm/refugee. Aside from my Lovely Couz, all bonds were severed. Going through all this almost killed me.

I don't count shrimp by individual counts.  I count them by the number of the shrimp cocktail platters from Costco, or the number of seafood towers at Blue Water Cafe.  I would say, at least three full Costco trays...and at least four of those seafood towers at Blue Water Cafe.  More if you're sharing.  I'll see you guys at the Chelation Clinic getting all the heavy metals removed from my system.

    3. JM_

    4. Coconuts

      Coconuts

You might be on to something, because they'll have to balance maximizing getting as much as they can out of Canada as a whole this coming season vs catering to just Montreal and Toronto.

    4. Coconuts

      Coconuts

Management and coaching likely care, you want a team that competes and commits to it's systems and each other. You would hope the players care because a fair number of em will be back next season and there's still half a season left for em to progress and build on their game. I care, other fans seem to care.

The incentive to bottom out isn't what it used to be, if we're destined to pick 5-7 again I'd rather be competitive and score some goals on our way there. Chips are gonna fall where they will regardless, may as well support the guys along the way.

In that order. More watchable than Jessica Jones, not as good as Luke Cage. No where near as good as Daredevil. I bet Punisher comes out on top when it comes out. Not because of the character. But because Jon Bernthal is a fantastic actor.

@Ghostsof1915 it was the exact opposite order for me, but I with agree with you on Punisher. Bernthal is an amazing actor.

The deal with Luke Cage was it dried up after Cottonmouth. Daredevil I just couldn't get into, although Daredevil himself is a pretty great character played by a person who's pretty good at playing him.
