Been watching the women’s world games today. Such good hockey! Lots of smiles of true joy can be seen through their face shields. These women all love to play, and it really shines through. The Swiss celebration after beating Russia in OT was beyond amazing to watch. Yes, Canada and the US are by far the two best teams, but the games they aren’t playing in are exciting too. Maybe even more so.
I could definitely park my scooter in the rink and watch this women’s games all day long.

Women’s 2021 World’s from Calgary. Russia v Switzerland right now. So much fun watching these women play! Fast and end to end action.

Our girls are so good! Just watched us beat Finland. We are fast, skilled, and determined. That was fun hockey to watch.

Kitimat is hot yet somehow also cold and wet.
During working hours I logon and check VC's notifications for news, but in reality I don't have time to really look into the trades/signings/rumours.
When I get off work I spend alot of time walking around the camp grounds as it's very large, and especially as I am a smoker. when I finally get back to my room I don't have much energy to argue with @aGENT or @Me_ even though I'm sure there must be something I disagree with what they post about.
all I have energy is for some mind numbing tv shows on netflix (right now I'm watching The Fix, It's about 2 teams of two comedians coming up with solutions to first world problems, and yes it's as stupid as it sounds) But... comedians are dirty and raunchy so i like it.
I will back to my regular mischief in 9 more days

There are a few more things that he’ll need to do in order to truly be considered the GOAT (I.e win Olympic singles gold, most weeks at #1, and a few other minor accolades that Federer and Nadal currently hold), but yes, Djoker is certainly on pace. I think he’ll break Margaret Court’s record of 24 slams. If and win Djoker does, he deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, and Patel Bure.

sure looking like Joker will catch the other two soon, and become the greatest tennis player ever.

Djoker will likely catch Federer and Nadal for most slams, but there are other records that Federer also holds that makes him the current GOAT (overall prize money won, total number of weeks spent at number one, etc.). Djoker will need to break those records as well if he wants to be known as king.
And unlike Djoker and Federer, Nadal has won an Olympic gold medal in singles.

I’m not surprised. NHL players shy away from going to this tournament even at the best of times, in favour of resting their bodies after the gruelling NHL schedule. Add in the pandemic and saying “yes” to this tournament is even less appealing for the players. When you can’t draw enough 1st or 2nd tier players, this is what you get. Hard to hang that on Lou.

Hischier will make a really good number three centre. But that’s not what Jersey was expecting with their first overall pick. Hischier and then Jack Hughes could be (combined) the two worst first overall picks by one team in a short window of drafts (3 years) in the history of the draft. Seriously two top picks in three years and they basically got nothing that will really help them win. No wonder their GM got iced.

We don't discriminate against fans of others teams, but the rule is clear, if they are just here to antagonize Canucks fans they won't be here long.
On the other hand just because someone is a fan of something else it doesn't give anyone the right to antagonize them either. Some people here are fans of multiple teams including the Canucks. Heck one guy here is even a fan of the TV show ALF apparently.
