In a restaurant I would tip 5 bucks on 35 dollars,,

so who gets the VAT then...the government...doesnt sound quite fair,,snooping around I found UK wages for wait staff..not as high as you say but more than is paid here..

Average eh... hmm, I should have been more specific. The bar manager at an awesome pub I tended at in the early 2000's was from Edinburgh. He stayed in Canada for a couple of years before returning because the money in food and beverage sucks here, he never received a tip in Scotland, but was paid 15p/hr to run the bar. His servers and tenders got 10p/hr.

He said the quid was even bigger in some area of London, but much worse in others. But salaries always kept in line with a living wage for the area, always. I should Facebook that old crotchety bugger... memories

Definitely could've pulled up on that  especially since he had plenty of time once the puck deflected. But also the player attacking was fishing for the puck and made no attempt to brace for impact.

You could hire Burrows but you will have to compensate him by giving him the same amount of dollars that other coaches in the same position are being paid. Since he is owed 3M, you would basically have to fire Willie and make Burrows your head coach.

You can still loan players to Switzerland or France. But you will still have the salary on your books and hence you will still have the cap hit on your books. The Hawks could have sent Huet to th AHL and still gotten rid of his entire cap hit under the old CBA. They didn't benefit anymore from him playing in Europe than if he had stayed in NA.

Different CBA, different rules. But they apply to every single team. The CBA rules don't change for the Hawks.

I doubt Willie is canned. I fully expect them to stick with him till the end of the year.  Then his contract is up and they don't have to pay for another coach they don't have.  It will also help us get a higher draft pick so I'm not sure why everyone is complaining so much. The team is playing hard so I don't think Willie has lost the room.  As GB stated above there are no good coaches available.  Greene might just be more of the same.

There is no one else to coach in the AHL right now. You don't want to replace your AHL coach mid-season at the same time. 

Unless of course they feel that Baumgartner or Jason King is ready to be an AHL head coach.
