If anyone watched those two Canada - USA games, you saw intensity usually reserved for a playoff game...thanks to Kes. For these players to go from summer skating to playoff intensity hockey overnight, I'm actually surprised we haven't yet heard of any groin or core injury issues.

Happened to me once back in midget, but I have a damn good reason. The ice wasn't quite set, and the puck actually got frozen to the ice. Had to chip it out. Refs ended up giving me another go at it, haha.

Yeah, Subban's injured. Pedan being scratched is likely just because the Comets are playing their third game in three days and they need to keep players fresh. To be honest though, I wouldn't be shocked if Pedan was let go at the end of the year because his play in Utica has been erratic and he doesn't look as close to being an NHL player as he did last season.

Subban has no future with the Canucks. Fully expect him to be moved in the summer or trade deadline next year.

^ agreed joe...although I'm a bit more wary of the "slump" because of it being a condensed season. If they slump for very long...or pick the wrong time to "slump"...they could be out of the playoffs before it's over.
