Was it Heisinger who brought us Mr Rypien. RIP

You bet it was, he went undrafted and he reached out and contacted him. Signed him to a pro, rest is history. Best fighter in the last 20 years this team has seen. Miss the hell out of him!

Jarvis and honestly coolest captain ever and Stanley cup winner. Mike Keene for 5 seasons. I think he had a major impact on the kids from he Moose roster over his 5 seasons there. Keene was from Winnipeg so it was just a cool end of hockey career story to watch for an awesome pro. Guy was all class.

Off the top of my head, they allowed Burrows in for a try out when he was toiling in the ECHL, they like what they seen and brought him on the team.

list of players off the top of my head without looking

- Raymond

- Bieksa

- Schneider

- Burrows

- Kesler

- Grabner

- Hansen

- Edler

- Auld

- Bourdon rip

- Rypien rip

- Vignealt coach

- Carlyle coach

And honestly so many other part time players.

My bad I sad Jarvis and meant Keene. Nice list. Especially Ryper.

Definitely a bonus now that the farm team will be nearby. I am hoping that others such as Jasek get a chance to showcase their abilities for a few games at some point next season as well.

Nothing will change for call ups........only when there's injuries.

Exactly

It will likely allow the GM to get a better first hand feel for how guys are doing and create a better communication with coaching and systems

Yeah, Jasek deserves a shot from his defensive play and the fact that he might be the one player we have that is an almost pure playmaker/defensive specialist - kind of like the second coming of Larionov at least in that regard. 19 assists and 27 points in 27 games is pretty impressive. Especially considering who has been promoted off the team- Rathbone (who triggered so much of the Utica offence), Gadjovich, Lockwood, and Lind.

He (Jasek) might be an attractive candidate for the Kraken.  Robert Kron is their Director of Amateur Scouting, and with both being Czech will surely know of him

As long as they leave us with Gadjovich, Lind & Motte, I'd be ecstatic about that! ::D Hopefully Kron does have that much influence.

Right!

(Kron? Come on bro)

What is this?

Ex Canucks time?

Our guys are sprouting up everywhere now.

Like weeds I tell ya.

Oh yeah

Warm Woo up into the pros

as a 4th line checker. Get rid of a high paid contract.

Get tutorials from the vets and coaches.

He'll be acclimated to fight for a D spot in 2 or 3 years.

I think Jett was the biggest surprise this year in Utica for me.  His first pro season went far better than I thought it would.  He is not as far away from being able to play with the big club.  Inspector Gadjet would be my next biggest surprise player. B)

I said it elsewhere  - Green is going to pair Woo with Rathbone for a couple of exhibition games to see what he has there, and Woo will stick.  The pair had a great partnership in Utica during Bones' stint there

Sheeeet that would be sweet.

That would solve a lot of issues, if this holds water

A rookie D pairing?  They were very good together in Utica, that’s for sure.  And Woo was good after Bone left.  Hopefully they get a chance together.

I've seen Woo live a bunch. If he can grow into the type of player he was in junior people are going to be pleasantly surprised when he makes the team. His has the type of simplistic game  approach that can translate to the NHL sooner than later.
