They probably would want Ferland's contract as well if it was insured. Yotes are kind of like the Bolts in taking advantage of the cap rules (for different reasons). Garland alone is worth the 2nd round and 7th round picks. Dumping Eriksson, Beagle and Roussel alone was worth the 1st round pick. A lot of you thought we’d need a 1st just to dump Loui. With a 1st we ended up dumping Roussel and Beagle as well. At the end of the day we got OEL for free with salary retained. Benning was not out GM’d today. Love this trade. Love Garland.
